A Fund is to be set up to regularize the payment of compensation to land- owners when the new Lands Act is passed by Parliament this year. This bill which will soon be laid before parliament is to revise and consolidate statutory laws on land, with the view to harmonising land policies with existing customary laws to ensure sustainable land administration and management, effective land tenure and efficient surveying and mapping regimes.
